2. Additional range
Tesla can take a range extender occupying 1/3 of trunk, up to 470 mile range (additional 130 mile range, probably 50kwh, 500lb, rumored $16k).
Absolutely genius, adding range after purchase, and still qualified for the rebate.
Ford has no longer range than 320 miles.
Rivian has...

135kwh, 352 miles, $79k.
149kwh, 410 miles, $89k.
That is $16k for an additional 140 miles.
3. Warranty
CT provides 50k mile warranty and 4 years, 40% more than Ford.
8 year 150k mile warranty on Battery and motors.
Ford provides 36k miles and 3 years Warranty.
8 year 100k miles on EV components.
Rivian provides 60k miles and 5 years warranty.
8 years 175k miles on battery and motors.
4. Towing
Ford Pro and XLT - 5k lb.
Ford Lariat standard - 7.7k lb towing.
Lariat Max tow package - 10k lb.
CT can tow 11k lb.
Rivian truck can tow 11k lb.
5. Technology
CT has
- HW4 + a first time front bumper camera.
- 48V low voltage instead of 12v.
- 800v architecture instead of 400v (battery split 2x400v in parallel)
- Rear wheel steering (Crabwalk not confirmed)
- Steer by wire (allows easier conversion to right hand drive)
- FSD capable (interestingly original CT Orders that checked the FSD option for $7k might guarantee that price when order confirmed)
- Autopilot standard.
- Sentry mode security.
- Rearview camera replacing mirror.
Ford Lariat has the Blue cruise for 3 years (only pre mapped highways).
Rivian has driver+ (only pre mapped highways).
6. Bed liner and Tonneau
CT includes bed liner and retractable power Tonneau.
Ford and Rivian for comparable features - $3-4k.
7. Vehicle to Grid
CT includes V2G Powershare (Powerwall/Separate Inverter and an HPWC wall connector required) providing 11.5kw output.
Ford has intelligent backup onboard power and Home Integration system from Sunrun at near $6-8k and 9.6kw output.
Rivian doesn't have V2G.
8. Payload
CT Payload is 2500lb.
Ford Payload is 1950lb for Extended, 2200 for Standard.
Rivian Payload is 1800 lb.
9. Bed size
CT bed length is 6 ft.
Ford is 5.5 ft.
Rivian is 4.5 ft.
10. Power outlets
CT has 5 outlets, 2 in cabin, 3 in bed. 240v, 9.6kw/40A in bed, the others are 2kw, 20A, 120 volt.
Ford has 11 outlets, 2 in cabin, 4 in Frunk and 5 in Bed.
240v, 7.2kw/30A outlet in the bed, the rest are 120v outlets.
Rivian has only 3 x 120v outlets and no 240v.
1.5kw/15A, 120v, one in cabin one in tunnel, one in bed.
11. DC charging (Level 3)
CT can charge up to 350kw (on 350kw DC fast chargers, like EA, Supercharger V4 and others, SuperCharger 3 is limited to 250kw)

Ford is limited to 150kw max DC.
15-80% in 41 min on 150Kw.
Rivian is limited to 220kw max DC.
10-80% in 40-45 min on 220Kw capable DC fast charger.
12. Frunk and other storage
CT has a 7.1 cu. ft in frunk and at least another 7 cu. ft under the bed storage.
Ford has 14 cu. ft in frunk.
Rivian has 11 cu. ft in frunk and another 12 cu. ft in the Tunnel as well as the spare wheel storage under the bed.
13. Adjustable Air suspension
Rivian has an adjustable air suspension with ground clearance range from 7.9"-14.9".
CT has an Adjustable air suspension with ground clearance range from 8"-17.4".
Ford Lightning has a fixed 8.4"-9.7" ground clearance depending on Tire size.
14. Spare tire
CT has no dedicated Spare tire, but you could buy one for $1250 and store it in the bed .
Rivian has a spare tire in the bed at an under floor compartment.
Ford has a spare , external, under the frame.
15. Wheels and covers
CT comes with Aero wheel covers , made of rubber which are meant to protect the wheel from rashes.
16. Curb weight
CT is 6.6k lb for Dual motor, 6.85k lb for Tri-motor, probably 6.4k lb for Single motor.
Ford is 6.2k lb for Standard range, up to 6.9k lb for extended range loaded.
Rivian is 6.95k lb for standard, 7.15k lb for extended range.
17. Front and rear infotainment
CT has an 18” front display that can be used for streaming and gaming and a rear 9.4" center console display that can be used for entertainment as well.
Ford has no rear display and no streaming on main 15.5" display.
Rivian has a rear 7" and a front touch screen, but no streaming on either.
18. Acceleration
CT - 4.1 sec for Dual motor.
2.6 sec for tri-motor.
Ford - 4 sec on Extended battery higher trims.
Rivian - 3 sec 0-60 on Quad motor extended range.
4.5 sec on a Dual motor standard range.

HPWC installed on a 60A circuit ,(44mph).

Rivian - 11.5Kw/48A through a Rivian Mobile charger on a 60A, 240v circuit (25mph).
20. Paint
CT does not require paint, it comes standard with Stainless steel finish, bullet proof.
There are available White or Black Wrap through Tesla for $6.5k

21. Door handles and drag coefficient
CT has no door handles. Only buttons on the B pillar. Drag coefficient is a surprising 0.335.
Rivian is 0.3.
Ford Lightning is 0.44, GM Hummer is 0.50.
The few things that were originally promised and not delivered...
- Price of course, although I am sure prices on all trims will come down as 4680 cells density improves and cost to produce declines, as well as over all cost.
- No 6 seater, No Ramp built-in the Tailgate, No amphibious capability yet.
