First KIA EV9, 7 seater SUV arrived ar KIA dealers last week.
The Wind Trim with 280m range 100kwh battery, AWD, 5k lb towing, $63.9k, no dealer adjustments other than $899 dealer fee and $1495 transfer fee.
A Light trim, RWD, Long range, 304 miles, 100kwh, 6 seater will also be available shortly for $60k, 5k lb towing.
Short range Light trim, RWD with 230 miles, 76kwh battery, no towing, 7 seater for $55k will follow later.
Higher trims Land, $70k and GT, $74k are available with more features and Specs but no more range or battery size.
Warranty is 5 years, 60k miles, best in the industry.
For comparison:
Rivian has 4 years, 50k miles, same as Tesla.
Rivian R1S, 7 seater SUV starts at $78k 260m, AWD, qualifies for $3750 rebate (until 12.31.23).
Tesla Model X, 5k lb towing, 100kwh, 348m range, 6 seater starts at $86.5k, 7 seater $83.5k, therefore not qualified for any rebate (only the 5 seater qualifies at $80k).
Tesla Model Y Long range, 5+2 seater, 82kwh, 330m range, 3.5k lb towing, $52.5k (with 3rd row) and is Qualified for a full $7500 rebate.
GM and Ford have only 3 years 36k miles warranty.
Power train and battery warranty for KIA is 10 years, 100k miles, Rivian and Tesla are 8 years 150k miles for X, S and CT, 120k miles for Long range and Performance 3 and Y, 100k miles for RWD model 3 and Y.
GM and Ford Battery warranty are 8 years, 100k miles.
KIA EV9 is Currently, not qualified for Rebate, but if law changes to include foreign made battery components and materials or if KIA decides to offer there own incentive it could be even a better deal.
