TSLA reported Q4 deliveries.
484.5k. Just enough to cross the 1.8m for the year, the company guided since the end of 2022 when it delivered 1.31m, a 38% increase YoY.
In 2022 Tesla deliveries rose 40% from 936k in previous year. In 2021 Tesla increased deliveries 87% from 500k in previous year.
Tesla current Quarterly run rate is higher then entire 2020 deliveries.
Of course, BYD and the other Chinese EV brands are growing faster as expected.
BYD reported 526k fully electric sold in Q4, NIO 50k, Xpeng 60k, Li auto 132k(Li does not yet sell Full EV, only PHEV).
For the full year, BYD delivered 1.57m BEV up YoY from 907k, 73% increase. BYD also delivered 1.44m PHEV in 2023, up from 0.95m YoY, 52% increase.
NIO delivered 160k BEV up from 122k, 30% YoY.
Li auto delivered 376k PHEV, up from 207k YoY, 182% increase.
Xpeng delivered 142k BEV up from 121k YoY, 17% increase.
Chinese companies are indeed, as expected taking on the world in Cars and more importantly in EV's, just not yet in The US, and hesitantly in Europe due to Tariffs and Geopolitical reasons.
Rivian reported a decrease of deliveries QoQ, stock is down 10%.
RIVN reported 14k deliveries in Q4, 17k produced.
For the full year RIVN delivered 50k BEV, up YoY from 24k, 105% increase.
RIVN guided for 54k produced in 2023, they actually produced 57k.
Super knowledgeable Tesla reporting and analysis
